Life Coach Therapist

Here is everything you need to know about how a life coach therapist can support you:

What is a life coach therapist?

A life coach therapist is a professional who has trained in multiple modalities and offers a blended service of both coaching and therapy to support their clients in healing and transformation.

What does a life coach therapist do?

Via therapy, the person you work with is going to help you address and heal old traumatic emotional issues. Through a series of sessions, you will be guided to examine and look at experiences that took place in the past that may be making it difficult for you to move forward in your life.

Once you have resolved these wounds, through the coaching process they can then support you in helping you identify how you would like to move forward in your life by identifying what type of life you would like to create and then outline a process of how to achieve your desired goals.

During your sessions, your life coach therapist will:

  • Help you examine old traumatic issues
  • Face and address these issues so that you may heal and transform
  • Gain clarity on how you would like to move forward
  • Create an action plan on how to achieve your desired goals
  • Support you along your journey of moving forward and taking action
  • Provide insights when challenges arise when your thoughts or beliefs might be holding you back
  • Help you breakthrough self-limiting beliefs and behaviors that no longer serve you

Do I need a life coach therapist?

Every now and then it is important to work with a trained professional who can help guide us along our life path by providing an objective perspective on issues that may be holding us back from achieving the types of results we seek from life.

You would benefit from working with someone if you are:

  • Struggling with depression or anxiety
  • Constantly overwhelmed with negative emotions or hardships
  • Stuck in life and have a hard time moving forward
  • Serious about creating more peace and happiness
  • Having a hard time maintaining healthy relationships
  • Overweight or struggling with your health in any way
  • Unhappy with your career and find it difficult to find a job you enjoy

Benefits of a life coach therapist

One of the main benefits of working with a trained professional in both modalities is that they are able to blend their services providing you multiple disciplines during your sessions. Because life can be an emotional roller-coaster, it can be greatly beneficial to work with someone who can help you through difficult times while you are also working towards achieving your goals as many emotional triggers will present themselves during this process.

Some immediate benefits include:

  • Transform old emotional baggage holding you back
  • Face your fears and overcome adversities much easier
  • Create the type of life you have always wanted for yourself
  • Greater sense of well-being and empowerment
  • Build more confidence knowing your life is moving in the right direction
  • Change negative behaviors that are not serving you
  • Address bad habits or self sabotage that keeps you from succeeding in life

Life coach therapist reviews

Absolutely love the work they do here! Top notch therapy services!!! My therapist is Gottman-trained and she is incredible. She put me onto the Gottman Institute and I relate to it all so much and find it so beneficial. I highly recommend them to anyone who wants or needs to work through something…They are the best!!!

What a wonderful organization! Nothing is more important than the hearts and minds of our youth. Our children are our future. I would like to make myself, my time and my talent as a professional entertainer (singer) and master of impressions available to your organization. Message me anytime. God bless.

The IOCDF plays a critical role in mental health awareness and advocacy. I was so inspired by their work that I made the decision to become a #ocdvocate. I proudly wear the blue bracelet in the hopes that someone will start a conversation with me and I can tell them my story. I always recommend the IOCDF website as a starting place for information for both those who suffer and for those who are looking for more information.

My life coach therapist does tremendous work for not only people who suffer, but loved ones, providers, and researchers too. I attend the conference each year and I always come away with more information than I expect. It’s always applicable to my practice, or as a person who has OCD, and as a loved one to a parent with it, a sibling, a son and a daughter. The website is full of information, book suggestions, and has a link to find a provider. They do a great job.

Greg is a fantastic person to work with! I see him on a weekly basis at his office or sometimes online. He’s very knowledgeable about the mind and gives us a great way to address our emotions. He works with our different levels of the subconscious mind for instance I was very nervous to start after my emergency Cesar but since 6 weeks postpartum Mike has given me the perfect routine to slowly regain my confidence. I am over the moon with my results so far now 5 months postpartum. I highly recommend him in his profession and just as an all round nice guy.

Mental Health Services Act (MHSA) Steering Committee has worked hard cooperatively with the state to ensure we have adequate mental health care personnel to fill the local need. Results have been super beneficial to some that I’ve heard from that were successful in their applications — like one PhD candidate working for Turning Point that was awarded $17,000 who thanked me for her award when I was introduced to her in D.C. — or our SCMHTC intern MDs who accepted my invite to speak to the MHB. If you’re appropriate please apply right away! Real help here for crushing student loans! …and a great benefit to those needing services.

Without a doubt, Michael changed my life for the better. I don’t often make recommendations, but I fully endorse and recommend his services. Michael’s depth of knowledge in psychology enabled him to tailor a plan specifically designed for me and my success. Following his advice changed my body and my mind. Sign up now, you won’t regret it.

John is an outstanding coach and therapist from so many points of view. First he helps us realize that we’re all narcissistic in some way. Second, he offers suggestions as to how to handle narcissists; we can’t always handle, in some cases the wisest course of action is running in the other direction. Third, I re-discovered Echo and how echoists fit into the scheme of the narcissistic scale. Fourth, there’s a handy quiz (not graded) that helps each of us find where we fall on the scale. Yup, we’re all narcissist, some more than others.

It was an absolute pleasure having Yasmin lead a coaching and therapy session over the course of 3 or so months for a group of women looking to dwelve into healing. She is incredibly knowledgeable and adjusted the class according to the skill set of her students. She was very professional, timely, and extremely accessible. She truly cares about her clients and it shows! She’s one of many talents and I hope to work with her again in the future and get some wellness coaching!

I wish I had a life coach therapist like yours when I was a teen and in my twenties! Your series is amazing! I thought my struggles with anxiety were isolated and felt very alone in my experience. THANK YOU for encouraging people to speak openly about anxiety, depression, OCD and other mental illnesses with clarity and reassurance for younger people now struggling. These conditions are so common, and it’s time we all accepted them as use another medical illness and remove the stigma once and for all so we can help each other.

Dan has had such a profound impact on my life. The virtual “therapy” that I have received since following JJ’s page has helped make my life easier during difficult times and has helped me put some things into perspective. JJ’s sass and spunk have made me smile when it was hard to. She just knew what people needed and lived her life to her fullest potential. Always giving love and cuddles to folks who may not have even known that they needed it. She reminded us all to always to do our best in challenging moments! This would not be possible without Tracy and family. Tracy has such an amazing way of teaching people about hospice care and helping us to understand it when it is such a difficult topic for many to even think about. I appreciate all that the Calhoun family does for all of us that they have never even met. Plus the sheer happiness that he brings is a breath of fresh air!
