I’ve been receiving QEEG therapy at Balance Stress Management for four months, so far. This includes brain mapping and treatments to balance the brain with a goal of reducing anxiety and depression. The treatments consist simply of watching a movie of my choice with EEG receptors on my head to monitor brainwaves. The movie will only play if I match my brainwaves to the pattern set up by the QEEG technician.

At first, I was worried I might not be able to do it, but it’s really amazing how my brain just figures out what to do. The movie plays and at the end of the session, I am shown the results and can actually see the graph of my brainwaves moving towards a healthier pattern. And, I’m seeing the results in my life. I’m sleeping better. My social anxiety has diminished enough that I am choosing to be more involved in shared experiences. I even had a party in my home, something I haven’t done in years!
Because of the success and comfort I’ve experienced at this facility, I’ve recently started seeing a personal therapist here, as well. In my experience, Balance Stress Management completely lives up to its name.

When my son was in middle school he began exhibiting systems of stress, depression, anxiety, and OCD. He was treated with medication at that time. Several years later, he was hospitalized and given many different types of medication. I researched many options for treatment. He was given TMS, Hypnotized twice, and given ECT treatments both as an outpatient and inpatient. We moved to Illinois and sought medical help to continue. He had the good fortune to meet Svitlana and he was treated with Neurofeedback. My son began to feel better, the depression is almost gone, we began treatment in January 2017 (It is August 2017).
